I begin this blog post with a stark warning, i will no sugar coat my displeasure at the antics of some who have the audacity to call themselves fans, therefore be prepared for a bucket load of bitch-slapping in amongst the pretty. If you feel you will be offended - then why on earth are you even reading this, never mind clicking on the URL to open up my blog in the first place? If you are a fair-weathered fan and still tend to dip your toes in the sea of lunacy, you will also find this post not to your liking and would be better off instead, clutching teddy and chanting 'there's no place like home' while you rock yourself amongst the throng of Robsessed, completely delusional and not all there in the head haters.
There have been moments in this fandom when the grin just won't go away. The explosion of a World Premiere kind of does that to some people. The praying and chanting of things going well on the night, is always worth while when the stars walk that red/black carpet and shine for the worlds press.
What makes it more special is the couple in the centre of it all - the actors who play Edward Cullen and Bella Swan, come onto the carpet and stand together. Side by side, a united front, a very cute and endearing united front. Since 2008; i have watched with adoring fan delight, as a young and very shy Robert Pattinson; stepped onto his first World Premiere Twilight (Goblet of Fire he was a mere co-star) looking decidedly nervous, as he waited and posed and pulled his fingers through his hair. Looked completely shell shocked at the screaming and the chanting to then be joined by the sweet selfless 18 year old co-star Kristen Stewart, and everything just fell into place. He seemed to visibly relax as soon as she stood beside him, with her quiet demeanour and encouragement to 'enjoy the night, you deserve it' painted on her smile - Rob felt as if this night was worth all the waiting. To have that moment when the crowd could be drowned out, when the media would slip away...and leave him alone, with just one person. 2009; the New Moon premiere was a bit of a disaster. Kristen and Rob seemed to be separated by a manner of 'Jacob and Bella v's Bella and Edward playing on the Summit exec's minds. No matter, because fans got a glimpse of Rob looking single and handsome (tongue in cheek) stood out to the side and allowed Kristen to pose with Taylor, it all looked so nice, so canon to the movie. The cries from the fans of why this was done was brought sharply into focus in 2010; when Eclipse came rolling around and Rob and Kristen seemed to refuse to be separated and the fans loved it. They looked still a bit nervous as they stepped out together; still apprehensive of the fandom's response, but looked wonderfully happy as they stood side by side for the first time since Twilight, with a lot of history under the bridge. It was to mark a change in their private life, which to this day is still VERY private. But instead of dodging questions and being cryptically conscious of every word each other said to the press, Rob and Kristen went with the flow and enjoyed the moment.
2011; Breaking Dawn - Part One, was the turning point in many ways. For three years; Robert Pattinson has worked alongside his co-star and has admired her for all her qualities. Her bravery in the choices she makes in her acting. Her encouragement in moments where madness seems to take him over and self doubt comes knocking at the door. Her selfless respect for him in everything he does, the challenges that face him. But most of all, it's been her love - her unconditional love for him, that has made Rob grow to the person he is today. You don't believe me?
Well, that's because you are one of few who singularly harp on about how 'Kristen stops Rob from being who he is, she clings to him with desperation, she is a famewhore, riding his shirt-tails for some kind of recognition. He is always unhappy whenever she is around, she stops him from making acting choices, threatens to leave him if he doesn't toe the line'
On and on the crap goes and it has become pretty stagnant no matter where you go. You see, while a part of this fandom is overjoyed that Rob is happier than he has ever been. Is now finally content with just going with the flow and not worrying about whether his movies are liked or not - it doesn't get him down. He knows deep down inside he is a better man for the experience he has gained, working with some fantastic directors and legendary actors. He doesn't let fans dictate where he sees his life leading him, or the direction it is taken, because believe it or not...

The World Premiere and Rob and Kristen stepped out together; some media outlets are already hailing this as their first 'public appearance' as a couple - meh! That's the media for you. They don't need to step out as a couple, they have been a couple for a few years now, they just don't see the reason in hiding the 'obvious' anymore. Because anyone who still insists that they are 'not' a couple...LOL 'follow the yellow brick road to nowhere'
They looked fantastic; Kristen in a J. Mendel sapphire blue evening dress with a daring split up one side, showing off her - it has to be said - killer legs in black stiletto heels and Rob in a blue/Grey Marseille by Gucci suit with grey shirt and black tie; matching once again on the black Breaking Dawn carpet. But it wasn't the matching colours that intrigued everyone it was the togetherness that sparked and shone brighter than the sequins on Kristen's gown.
Kristen has a natural beauty and everything she wears, she does it with a sense of who she is. I had no doubt Kristen would look stunning, but seeing her standing alongside Rob - photo after photo, because let's face it, everyone captured the moment when Rob went up behind her and Kristen turned and smiled - even Kristen's publicist Ruth smiled towards them in relief.
Taylor caught up with the loving couple eventually lol, thankfully there was no 'team rivalry' as there has been since Twilight began. This allowed the two main stars to stand and pose and smile and even take some time to chat between the flash bulbs. I loved Eclipse last year and loved the moments between Rob and Kristen, but this premiere surpassed the last few, even Twilight and i thought that one was super cute. Super shy and endearing with a most definite love struck look upon Rob's face (see first photo) but Breaking Dawn means the saga is nearly over. The pressure of promoting almost at a end, and the determined need to advertise the love between Edward and Bella falls away to leave Rob and Kristen as one. Everyone seems to be more open now, Mia Maestro spoke about them as a couple, Bill Condon mentioned it being easier for them now that they have completed the book to movie series. There is no need in keeping their emotions in check anymore and they have like the saga just...gone with the flow.

Of course, in amongst the pretty and lovable that was the premiere and black carpet event - there lies a sense of foamy fuckery. The moment when you know any second now the bitches will descend and ruin a carefully planned party of happiness. The haters/nonstens/split-personality-stens/in need of a lot of medication-stens. Those who vomit psychedelic colours of puce green on green, jealousy numbs the minds and pokes out the brain cells when they're not looking. Yes it has to be those 'silly nonstens' those too stupid to even spell correctly, never mind speak in a tone other than one that only dogs and cats can hear.

The only ugliness i see, is from the stupid little trolls who hate on Kristen because she is with Rob and they can neither accept that or want that in their lives. And trust me i spotted more than a few in that throng of 'screaming fans' at the event. Dressed in gowns hoping to get some chance with Rob on the black carpet as he signed autographs, only to be ushered away by Stephanie Ritz and Rob's ever trusting Body Guard Dean.

Hysterically funny doesn't cover it, but it seems there are some really sad people out there hoping to get a 'piece of the Rob-pie' while Kristen is elsewhere. I know i shouldn't poke fun at people, lowering myself to their tone but please...when i saw the footage i was not only laughing with shock and it was shock, then disbelief, then laughing so hard i could no longer see my screen. Robsessed fans tend to be put in the same bracket as the ones that hate Kristen, because she is with him. They deny 'they' are not together and admit to themselves it's all just PR. There seems to be this spiral of downward doom people find themselves in, instead of just accepting the truth.
Accept the fact that Kristen is in Rob's life. So much so, that he found it very hard letting her go on the black carpet (i wonder why, even he smelt the desperation out there amongst the fans) as they posed separately and spoke to the world's media.
Everything to Rob is nothing when you don't have someone to share it with. This experience in Twilight he shares with two other people - Kristen and Taylor. They alone know exactly what it's like to go through all that they have gone through since 2008. Kristen and Rob started this journey together, went through the process of discovering their alter-ego's personalities that in an essence - discovered themselves. And therein is a romantic love story all on it's own. Of course i have recently been accused of just being a Rob lover because i associate him with Kristen and would i think the same way about him if he wasn't her boyfriend?

When some of his fans where only discovering push up bras or birthing their children (pick a category) my eldest son was a Harry Potter fan and living in the UK, we were fortunate enough to watch the World Premiere of Goblet of Fire. Where a very young, slightly too skinny young actor, stood alongside such as Alan Rickman (Snape) and Ralf Fiennes (Lord Voldemort) as well as the famous trifecta Daniel, Emma and Rupert. So really, while some Twilight fans only discovered this young unknown English actor - there were others out there who already knew who he was. To say i enjoy his work is an understatement; he is a very understated actor with a lot of depth and character if only some people looked beyond the pale make up and yellow eyes. Stopped obsessing over him as Edward Cullen and took him serious as a performer that has got better as he has got older.
I have always been respectful of Rob and no, i don't believe that Rob is nothing if he wasn't with Kristen and no, i don't follow Rob because he is with Kristen. Some people really need to check their priorities in life before they send me comments on this blog - airing their silly views and then try to delete them. I am however a fan of both Rob and Kristen. A campaigner against those narrow minded hate filled women; who post on their tumblrs and twitter accounts the most vile of comments surrounding a very young gifted actress. Mainly because their lives are so shitty, that they have to dump their shit on Kristen. Don't like her, no one is forcing you to like her. Be a fan of Rob Pattinson, fine. But don't decide you know better than anyone else what makes him happy. That would indicate you are nothing but a stalker; whose life is consumed with knowing absolutely everything about Rob. Where he goes, what he does, what he eats and drinks (or you want people to believe you do) and therefore need to be watched by Dean and a handful of his trusted men, to cover Rob's back and protect him at all cost.

With the slightly over the edge comments; there were moments of complete and utter 'aww' How Rob looked happy and content as he stood with Kristen and how he has been more than a little accommodating when he comes to letting slip, just how he feels about the saga coming to a close. Seems he has been writing and apparently working with Wyck Godfrey (Stephenie Meyer's right hand man and all things Twilight producer) on two screen plays. Enjoying the down time finally from doing back to back movies. Embracing life and generally very happy to see the last of Edward Cullen's contact lenses. But his thoughts have always been with Kristen; how amazing she looked as she walked down the aisle in her Wedding dress and how he had to 'now try to start acting' after seeing her nervousness. How they have both admitted that they forgot about the acting and embraced the experience as if it was real...hmmm...
He and Kristen may be on the final leg of this journey of Edward and Bella together, but i have a funny feeling they will take from all of this a lot more than most lol. Stephenie Meyer may have thought this story up out of a dream and put pen to paper to bring it to fruition, but it was two actors that brought the characters to life...and in turn found love.
When i look at Rob and Kristen i see a lot of love between two people. They don't care what other people think, they're not actors because of the money or the fame that comes with it. They are both very independently minded and strong willed, they know what they want out of life and are determined to go out and get it. The fans they adore and respect, but they can put a distance up and separates their lives from the public's need to try and control them. They don't suffer fools gladly and choose their friends based on loyalty and trust and not because of the fame game others play. The haters don't mean anything to them - call Kristen names and make threatening accusations - it doesn't matter. If you think it influences Rob in some way - well you will be wrong. You can't hurt Kristen because she controls your lives. The only people i see who are so hell bent on hate, are those that are consumed with everything Kristen Stewart.
