'All about your heart' a video by; patti13mai with special thanks to RobStenation for the clip x
I can't believe it's the end of the week and i am no where near watching all the videos and cute madness from Comic Con '11. I was thinking of a title for my blog post today, when i had just watched this video on the fantastic RobStenation site and suddenly it hit me (not literally) with the images that flashed by my theme for today. So deciding the title would be from the song that was used for the video at the top of this post...here it goes.
I have often been accused of talking about Robert too much (!!) really? I think I'm mistaken for the wrong type of blogger, because i equally balance myself out between both Rob and Kristen. Kind of the romantic in a lot of my musings, because i just can't help seeing the love that flows so freely and unconditionally between these two wonderful people. I suppose i have a little upper hand; seeing as i used to be a massive Harry Potter fan (don't judge, how many of you out there had or still are Potter fans?)
Anyway i digress. So i had first hand experience in seeing a tall drink of water (who went by the name Robert Pattinson) and all the trappings of a British movie - aimed and young kids and above with most of the cast pretty shy and unassuming; thrust into the world of the media once a year, but generally left alone because of their ages and...well let's face it, unless you are embezzled in some seedy discrepancies, or having an affair with a footballer - the UK tabs tend to give you a foot note at the bottom of the gossip page.
So, that's the back story of my knowledge of a very shy but polite young man, who tended to laugh and giggle at almost anything said to him and not really take things too seriously, especially considering he wasn't main cast as in the 'holy three - Dan, Emma and Rupert' but he played an important part in one story arc.
How things have changed...well the situation yes, but the person behind all of that...no, he hasn't, not one bit. Oh he might have grown older and certainly more wiser (tongue in cheek) but his personality, who he is and how he conducts himself and views the world...no.
A lot of what i have seen from this years CC, reminds me of 2008, and how unabashedly shy and giggly Rob was 'being fed to the lions', sorry - speaking in front of such a large audience of women. But only one seemed to capture his attention a lot more - Kristen Stewart.
Women hate on Kristen (some, not all) and for whatever bizarre reason it really is all down to jealousy - why? Because she has Rob and they don't - simple when you think about it. Not only that, but for three years she has capture this young man's attention and it hasn't left her, no matter the circumstances or thousands of miles between them.
2008; Comic Con and everything related to promoting Twilight - was new to both of them. Kristen was moderately known in the acting field, but the biggest promotional organised event she had ever been to was the Sundance Film Festival. So you can imagine how weird an event such as CC and the screaming female population who had come to see the Twilight cast particularly, Rob and Kristen as Edward and Bella was. It was the first time many saw for themselves the attraction between them; the knowing shy glances, the huge grin Rob had plastered on his face, the incredibly shy Kristen as she faced a throng of women all either adulating her, because of her role as Bella or hating her only slightly - then, because she was sitting beside the man who made all their dreams a reality - Rob.
What i saw was a man smitten; completely transfixed on one girl, and that was the one beside him. I was not interested if she had a boyfriend or not. Personally speaking, a girl would not look at a man like the way Kristen looked at Rob; all shy and demure, batting her lashes, playing with her hair and turning around in her seat to give him her full attention...if she was not interested in said man *shrugs* just my opinion.
Of course, i also saw a girl transfixed on just one man, and that man was the one directly beside her - to her right.
That has not changed, not in the months that led up to the promotional hell that was Twilight, the frenzied crowd as they tried to get as close as humanly possible to the stars. The constant side by side interviews (severely lacking in New Moon and Eclipse) the laughing and joking and generally unspoken looks that said it all - for me i have seen no one in either of their lives that have affected that kind of happiness, giddiness, adoration, admiration that Rob has for Kristen and that Kristen has for Rob.
Kristen and Rob were more reserved at the following years events; mainly due to the fact they were trying to protect what was theirs. Having spent weeks apart because of their separate projects - something they have made sure will not happen again (separated by long periods of absence) they took to the CC event once more, looking both dishevelled, reserved, protective but together, much to the chagrin of already an allegiance of haters who wanted them not to be. Even though Summit insisted in playing the triangle card and have Taylor stuck between the two of them...Rob and Kristen still managed to communicate, despite their friend awkwardly sitting between the two.
This years events have trumped the previous, mainly due to the fact that Rob and Kristen have stopped hiding their attraction, admiration, adoration for each other and are now just...the two of us. Strong, independent, determined and very, very happy.
Even Taylor looks genuinely happy to be beside once again his two clearly very close friends, as they introduce clips from Breaking Dawn, letting the audience into little bits about how it was for them to shoot the two movies back to back. And yet...
Three Comic Cons, three years of making the movies and three years working closely together on a very personal crusade, and the 'sexual chemistry' that their first director spoke about...is still there.
Three years of laughing, joking, giggling sometimes hysterically. Looks of pride, looks of love and sometimes looks of complete and utter bewilderment at some of the things that fall out of Rob's mouth.
Still leaning close and whispering to each other, still looking at Kristen with that 'completely in love look' in his eyes - after all this time...nothing has changed, everything has remained the same.
Kristen has always been the centre of his attention; the one girl who stole his heart because that's what she did...steal his heart. Not that i believe for one minute Rob regrets that decision one bit.
Why do i admire Kristen Stewart so much and not just Robert Pattinson? Why am i not one of those fans that ogle after the young British actor with lust in my mind and nothing else? Apart from the fact that ogling a 25 year old at my considerable older age (not that old) is not seen as a little creepy and cougar-ish to name but a few...Kristen captures my attention more.
Kristen is strong; fiercely loyal, caring, compassionate, tender, shy, determined, adorably funny and quick witted, doesn't suffer fools gladly, loving, high spirited but above all that...
with just one look, you know she loves deeply and unconditionally, committed to one person - that one person being Rob.

Watching the video, you can see flashes of the past and present and how so little has changed. The love and attraction is so clearly evident only the circumstances have changed. I have heard murmurs of 'they're not hiding it anymore' did they ever? As far as i was concerned, it wasn't the fact they were hiding anything, they just choose to keep it as private and as protected as they could. Forsaking showing anything that would be analysed and picked apart, by those who wanted more or less, depending on what side of the fence you sit on. This fandom can get a little crazy at times and you have to pick through the mine field of BS to get to the truth. You will always have a side that will hate Kristen, why i have no idea, because i have listed the things i admire about the young feisty girl. The more you see Kristen for who she is and not the crap some hateful, spineless women throw around like toys out of a pram, you more you understand why Rob simply adores her.
It is all about the heart and what the heart wants.
They didn't do a photo shoot a couple of years ago, just to sell a few copies of a magazine. They did it to send a message out, without the need of words - they are together - deal with it.
