Peeved off Rob being snapped by X17 photographer... |
I don't have much time for photographers (paparazzi, photogs, insects of the press world) they are vile little cockroaches; that crawl around everywhere and take photographs of celebrities in order to sell to the highest bidder. So they can be posted online and used in entertainment shows like E! and Entertainment Tonight. I find them incredibly intrusive and completely out of line, when they literally stalk places/areas they know certain people can and will be found.
Rob and Kristen being stalked Oct. Last year... |
Kristen not exactly looking impressed 2009... |
I find it personally disgusting; Rob was out yesterday in LA apparently, according to this so called sleaze photog site X17 at a production meeting. Regardless whether he was or not, it's the fact that he was snapped - and judging by the amount of photographs that were put online, several times. The photographs showed Rob walking stiffly; one hand fisted at his side, which the photographer has claimed was aimed in his direction. Well...this site is known for posting videos of the celebrity they have snapped, so why not post the confrontational actor threatening to 'punch him out?'
Trying to hide from the press? |
'Angry Rob must be missing his girlfriend, as she is currently shooting a movie in the UK. The long hours means she has not been able to get away for a break.'
Even airports aren't safe from prying eyes... |
But when does the press go too far?
For me, the press goes too far most of the time. It's all well to blame the celebrity status; if you are in that line of work then you just have to 'suck it up' because you choose to be in the public eye, therefore you are owned by the public. Ah no actually, you are not! There is a fine line between owned by the public/media and allowed to live your live in private.
When you are out promoting a movie or whatever your chosen profession happens to be, you put up with the media and fan intrusion, because it's part of your job. You're there for the public and are being paid to stand, smile and wave. Sign autographs and pose for photographs. It's all part of the 'public image'
BUT when you are not working; when you are just going about your own business and trying to get on with life. That includes taking your kids to and from school or the park. Or just having quiet time with your partner, having dinner, going to the movies, having a quiet drink in a bar or going for a walk close to where you live - that's 'private time' and the press have no right to intrude or invade it.
The press needs to learn a bit of respect... |
