Always Remember... |
Of Fire-fighters, NYC Police officers. Doctors, Nurses of the nearby hospitals; who where rushed with those that were injured and those that had died. For the people walking by; strangers - yet they came together as they fought so bravely to free those trapped in the destructive rubble
This is for those who lost their lives working on such a glorious September morning in the North and South Towers of the World Trade Centre, when both United Airlines '11 and '175 crashed into them. Devastatingly changing the skyline of New York City, forever.
This is for those whose loved ones flew with United '77, their journey ended as it crashed into the western side of the Pentagon. Lives forever lost but never forgotten. This is for those who fought so bravely as they travelled on United Airlines '93 to claim back their freedom from the terrorists in Shanksville/Pennsylvania. Their bravery will never be forgotten, their loved ones will always 'Remember' and keep them in their hearts with pride.
Finally...this is for those left behind; parents, sons and daughters, husbands and wives. Grandparents and loved ones - whose lives where all touched and changed forever - 11th September, 2001. We can never get back what was taken, but we can look forward knowing that their lives didn't end in vain. A new day, a breaking dawn and a source of strength we carry with us...always and forever. This is for you.
Remember Me
By Christina Rosetti
Remember me when i am gone away,
Gone far away into the silent land.
When you can no longer hold my hand,
Nor I half turn to go, yet turning stay.
Remember me when no more day by day,
You tell me of our future that you plann'd.
Only remember me, you understand.
It will be late to counsel, then or pray,
Yet if you should forget me for a while
And afterwards remember, do not grieve.
For if darkness and corruptions leave,
A vestige of the thoughts that i once had.
Better by far you should forget and smile,
Than that you should remember, and be sad.
T.
