Kristen - 'Obviously' her Boyfriend is 'English'...

Obviously Stunning, Obviously Natural, Obviously Kristen...

There was a boy...
a very strange enchanted boy.
They say he wandered very far, very far
Over land and sea.
A little and sad of eye, 
but very wise was he.

And then one day...
one magic day he passed my way.
And while we spoke of many things,
fools and Kings, this he said to me.
"The greatest gift, you'll ever learn...
Is just to love, and be loved...in return." 

Well now...what an epic day this has turned out to be?
In 2008; i stumbled across this fandom - purely through recommendation. Because a certain 'English' actor who starred in a Harry Potter movie, was cast in the role of a 'teenage forever' vampire, in a young adult book series. Of course at the time, being an ever loving vampire fan, i was intrigued by the book series and decided to hunt them out at my local book store. Only to find out the UK had not yet released them. BUT, during this time, there was a flurry of excitement over the pond (that's the US to some folks) about this young man (21) and how he captured the very essence of being good looking, polite gentleman, shy and reserved. Oh and he was 'English'

English being not just 'English' speaking, but came from the UK...
The Robert Pattinson fandom was born and everyone began taking notice of this tall, interesting young actor; with hair wild and messy and blue/green eyes, when they weren't hidden behind golden contact lenses.

Introducing Robert Pattinson...

Now, the long and short of it. During Comic Con in San Diego in 2008; there was a 'certain spark, a certain force of kinetic energy' i noticed, when looking at the photos and watching the YT videos. And this was all during the time the fever pitch for the movie 'Twilight' was quickly gathering speed. Like i said, i came into this fandom possibly a little later than most, knew that Rob had got the coveted role of Edward Cullen and had spent several months working in the US - shooting said movie. I knew that he was still the same as he was during Goblet of Fire - albeit a little older and broadened out a bit. But still...the same...person.

BUT, what i DID see during this 'fan event' was a definite, almost palpable, tangible connection, between himself and his co-star - Kristen Stewart. The young faced 18 year old; who encapsulated the role of Bella Swan and made it her own. Yes, this young 'English' actor seemingly had a 'crush' on Kristen. Not only did he have a crush on her, but he all but admitted that the only reason he took on the role of Edward Cullen, was because he saw Kristen in the movie 'Into the Wild' and wanted to work with her.

Kristen appeared to be like the girl next door; all charm, all sweet and carefree, with a hint of edge that suggested 'don't mess with me' She had been working in the industry since she was a little girl and that experience was etched clearly on her young shoulders, but it became pretty obvious, just how innocent she still was. Innocent in ways that hinted at she had yet to come out from under the shadow of being a 'misunderstood' actress/teenager. Her fresh thirst for knowing everything about her character, paved the way for Kristen to get 'right under the skin' of Bella Swan. To experience falling in love for the first time.
WAIT - falling in love, for the first time?

A Handsome 'English' Actor...

Surely not? But Kristen was dating and she had known this person since she was a young teen? 

It's amazing how much comes out in interviews; when barriers are down and truth slips out. When Kristen has admitted that she experienced the whole 'flush of first love' the undeniable pull towards a person and the feeling of 'wanting to be with them forever.' Which when you think about it, would she have been so candid about her connection to her character Bella, had she experienced falling in love or being in love 'prior' to making Twilight?

There has always been something there, just tucked under the surface for the fans of Rob and Kristen anyway. There has always been that 'connection' between them, that has gone way beyond their characters love for each other. No matter how many interviews you read, how many you pull up from 2008 - the answer is always the same. Rob Pattinson had an 'obvious' crush, an immediate attraction and a poor verbal filter, when it came to all things Kristen Stewart.

Young, fresh-faced girl next door...

"What about her boyfriend?"
"Pfft, what about him (laughs) what about her boyfriend? (laughs)"

Ah yes, Rob's verbal filter worked pretty well in the early days. The complete dismissal of Kristen's 'man' had everyone reeling with shocked laughter 'OMG he did not say that!' YES he did. Despite the worry that this actually concerned his young co-star, everyone wanted Rob and Kristen to get together - like their alter egos on the silver screen. Despite the split of people believing they wouldn't 'that Kristen was with someone, while Rob was partying and sleeping around' (complete denial) the answer lay with the two people everyone was interested in, and they didn't give anything away...officially that is.

Had the photo shoot from Vanity Fair already given it away?

A photo shoot in late summer 2008; was meant to be a full cast shoot, with the exception of having a few playful shots of Rob and Kristen. The footage of Kristen launching herself into Rob's arms, while he stood amongst the backdrop of sun kissed grass in the middle of a field, was the most edited, most watched, most sought after photos of the entire days shoot. Rob; holding Kristen up in his arms as she wraps her long legs around his waist, was seen as a very sexy and sensual pose. Considering in Twilight - Edward and Bella don't even get that far with regards to the whole 'touching and being affectionate to each other'
So what did it mean? 

Photographers creative licence? Actors participation in the way the shoot should look?
Heh!

I have always gone with the concept that an actor/celebrity will do what is asked of them by the photographer, but then throw in a little artistic creativity of their own. In this case; the image was seen just barely on the laptop of the photographer, but when the interviews and photo shoot came out...it was strangely omitted from the selection, until a year later - 2009. Then it came in a flourish of extra photos from the VF site and of course, the photographer. But by then, there had been so much 'circumstantial evidence' suggesting that Rob and Kristen were in fact 'secretly dating' Secretly as in 'admitting' they were together did not come from their lips, but by a series of 'photographic evidence' 

This photographic evidence is lengthy in size and of course, a wonder to look at. Because this very 'English' young man, captured the hearts of many a female who looked upon him. But the very female he wanted to capture, wanted to gain attention from...took a bit of persuading. And in the end...he got there.

Kristen by no means, is a fool and she doesn't give her heart willingly and carelessly. Yes her heart had to be won, her affection had to be earned and one man had all the qualities she admired in a person; honesty, respect and consideration for her above anything else. This young 'English' actor, won the heart fair and square of Kristen Stewart and because of the job he was in, swore to keep their relationship out of the spotlight, away from the media's attention and stubbornly refused to speak about it - for some considerable time. The photo shoot for Harpers Bazaar at the end of 2009 however, spoke for them. It was their little admission to the fans 'yes, we are together.' 

Photographed not because of their characters, but because of their relationship - Rob and Kristen. And the fans, rejoiced.

2010 - 2011...on and on it goes...
This young couple and co-stars of the Twilight movies, have gone physically and emotionally from strength to strength. They have both made other movies without each other, but have visited each others sets. Travelled to other cities together. Had holidays and birthdays together. Set up home multiple times, spent time with each other's families and even recently, adopted a dog. A little puppy from an animal shelter who they have both been seen with, an adorable dog they named 'Bear'

To vamped up 21 year old stunner...

So what's changed?
Why the explosion of the fandom. Why have so many fans suddenly become catatonic?
well, lets see...

A rental in Notting Hill, London. The day before while at the GQ shoot, she had explained that she was looking forward to seeing more of the UK, as "my boyfriend is English," although when i bring this up again, the blood drains into her boots.

Hmm... 
So, what does this mean? Well for one, it means Kristen just gave away a huge clue there to those who are still living under a rock and floating along the river of D.E.N.I.A.L 
For those who have been a fan of these two hapless, happy people - it was an epic nod in the right direction for them. It was the final nail in the coffin of 'don't want to talk about it, own what you own and conveniently avoiding said question 'Are you and Kristen/Rob dating in real life?' It was in fact incredibly important, because in the interview for GQ (UK) magazine, Kristen Stewart admits to having an 'English' boyfriend.

Right, let's break it down for the little people. In other words i will be using; basic English reading comprehension and common sense. Mixed in with basic English language, for the slow of mind and thought. And finally... 'understanding basic English for dummies'

He is English and his childhood home is in London, England. Which is part of Great Britain, which is also part of the United Kingdom. Incorporating; England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland. Now, let's get even more technical; Great Britain where you get 'British' from has three states or three countries in it's entirety; ENGLAND, Scotland and Wales. Rob was born in England, therefore he is 'English' savvy? 

YES he speaks English, yes he was educated in England and trained as an actor in England. It doesn't matter what way you look at it; upside down, back to front, inside out and the other way around - Rob Pattinson is English! To say that is not who Kristen is speaking about is really, barking up the wrong tree, sinking in the river of denial and forever GRASPING AT STRAWS!!

Yes, there is a lot of you out there doing this...

To say that Rob is British and not English, is like saying I'm not Texan I'm an American - they mean exactly the same thing! Kristen was not misquoted she was quoted fine. Yes he speaks English, it's the country in which the language originated from. Clutching at her final moments BWAHAHA! - there is a new wave of Epic Fail and everyone who thinks that, is on it...riding along the same river of denial as the others.

Final thoughts...
LOL it's been an 'epic' day of mass proportions. I adore everything about this interview Kristen did for GQ, it has all kinds of wonderful in it. The photos might not be to everyone's taste, but then again, as Kristen has said herself 'she's all grown up' 

No longer the sweet faced girl next door, she has grown beautifully into a stunning woman. Lost the child-like image and replaced it with a very confident, very sure, young and alluring female. Who knows what she wants and is not afraid to get it. This might have been a slip up of huge proportions, but then again, it was about time. And lets face it, as she said so herself 'it's obvious'

Even Rob knows that!

Take what you want out of this interview, i took everything that was needed to be said. Kristen is happy in the way her life is shaping up, lucky to be in the job she enjoys doing and is in love. In love with a young 'English' man, who adores her completely. She is not taking any shit, she is not being an asshole and she is definitely NOT SETTLING for anything less than what she is getting.

Happy, together and in love...
