Disappointed Metallica fans have run riot in India after the heavy rockers postponed their first-ever concert in the country due to technical problems.
The band was set to headline the F1 Rocks concert in Uttar Pradesh last night and devotees began lining up outside New Delhi's Leisure Valley venue hours before showtime to ensure a good view of their idols.
But they were left devastated when organisers announced the gig had to be postponed for 24 hours, prompting fans to push past barriers and rush the stage to tear up posters promoting the event.
Metallica is scheduled to perform later today, while Lady Gaga is also scheduled to take the stage this weekend to celebrate the staging of India's first Formula One race.
